About the Artist:
Collage is a favorite art form for Blake’s one-of-a-kind cards, while a mixed-media approach is utilized when creating her unique altered books, canvases, and boxes. She begins with an idea or sense of where she wants to go, and by the end of the process she often finds herself somewhere unexpected. Her goal is to not only evoke an emotional response, but to tell a story. “I want you to make small discoveries when you look at a card, a book, or a box – I want it to speak to you.”
Blake has been a Donor, Supporter, and Volunteer for Studio ACE since its opening in 2018, and an Art Shop Vendor since 2020.
