Artist & Instructor Kene Lohmann with his Artwork

Born and raised in North San Diego County, Kene Lohmann grew up painting since early childhood, developing his passion for watercolor. He was privileged to study under noted San Diego County watercolorist Thelma Speed Houston.

His love of nature and the world around us is captured in his works that dazzle the eye with their intense color palette. Striving for an emotional reaction connecting the viewer to his work, Kene’s colorful landscapes invite the viewer into the painting for a visual escape.
