all about art for kids

This is the perfect introductory class to learn about art-making through process and project-based art activities. This is an introductory class for students ages 6-12 that meets weekly at Studio ACE. See below for details!

Class Details:

  • When: We offer two different sessions of All About Art on Wednesdays every week (except holidays):

    • Session 1— 3:30-4:30pm

    • Session 2— 4:45-5:45pm

  • Limit: 20 students per session

  • Ages: 6-12

  • Cost: $5 per class— must purchase entire month of classes (no per class purchase option)

  • Please read our Class Policies and then scroll down to sign up!

Class Policies:

  • Please sign students in and provide a phone number, if you have not already, for safety reasons.

  • Due to safety protocols and limited staff capacity, we cannot accommodate drop-off or check-in for classes any earlier than 5 minutes before the start of class. 

  • For the same reason students need to be picked up promptly at the end of class. 

  • Note: We cannot send students to the car even if they can see their parent/guardian in the car, please pick them up at the door for safety reasons! Thank you for your understanding!

A NOTE FROM THE INSTRUCTOR, LINDSEY DEZELAN:

To me, art is a release. It is a release to be exactly who I am, and what I want to share with the world. I am on my own personal journey of self-growth and exploration. I just moved back to Oceanside from living in Indiana for many years. I taught art at the college level, as well as art to elementary students. I also taught special needs (moderate and severe) for 11 years at the middle school level (6-8th grade). While teaching special needs I integrated art and creativity into all aspects of my curriculum. In my free time I enjoy painting, drawing, and creating jewelry. I also enjoy taking advantage of the beautiful SoCal weather and the endless amounts of scenery and outdoor activities it has to offer. I am truly honored to be working with your student.
